It's hard to believe we depart tomorrow! So exciting!
I thought I'd share a bit about Alfred Wainwright today. This link will take you to a brief history of Mr. Wainwright:

He looks sassy and I guess he beat those other people up the hill:
Today I painted my toenails blue for our trip. It's the only time I'm going to bother and I don't plan on taking nail polish remover, etc. with me, so my feet should be quite beautiful by the end of our trip. Don't worry -- I won't share photos. :p
I met with our builder and he's going to build our house cabinets while we're in England. I can't wait to see them.
I bought every possible thing I could possibly need on my drugstore run.
Funny thing -- the drugstore clerk told me to make sure I save my receipts because I earned TWO EMERGENCY FIRST AID KITS, but alas -- they were all out. hahaha I was laughing on the inside. She said I could come by to pick them up when we return from being out of the country. Good thing we've bought one on our own. ;)
I'm going to give Luke a spa day and I have written detailed instructions for his pet sitter, who is my niece, Chelsea. She's so sweet and I know will love Luke so much.
I think the the two most difficult parts of the trip for me -- is not seeing sweet Grace for so long and not having my faithful sidekick with me. I wish he could hike along with me in England. I suppose y'all know I love Luke.
Tonight I'm packing my suitcase and tomorrow evening we depart from Charlotte.
Don't know... think they might have airlifted/placed down that in that exact spot ... Mr. (elderly) Wainwright :)
ReplyDeletehahaha Maybe so! I think he was so used to hiking those hills he thought it was a stroll in the park. :D People say he greatly under describes the difficulty. :o :D

ReplyDeleteThank you, Savannah! I wish I could take you along -- both for company and to massage my leg. :D
